Service Description
If you’re interested in ceramics but are not sure where to start, this beginner-friendly class introduces students to the basics of both handbuilding and wheel throwing. Wheel topics will include centering, pulling clay walls, shaping, and trimming, and hand-building topics will include pinch pots, slab building, and extruding. Students will learn how to combine throwing and hand-building techniques, as well as how to incorporate surface design techniques to make unique creations. There is also room to customize projects based on student interests, with a ton of support and hands-on demonstration.
