BEGINNERS ON THE WHEEL
with Vivian Whitcomb
Fridays, March 17-April 21, 10 AM-1 PM
Learn the basics of making pottery on the wheel during this fun, 6-week class. Students will start with centering and forming simple shapes on the wheel and continue through trimming and glazing. Students can expect to bring home 7-10 finished pieces.

INTRO TO WHEEL
with Adam Ferbert
8 Tuesdays, April 4- May 23, 6-9 PM
This eight week class is an introduction to wheel-thrown pottery. Learn the basics from centering and trimming to slip decoration and glazing. The first half of the class will focus on bowls and decoration while the second half will cover cups and attaching handles. Students can expect to bring home 8-12 finished pieces.

NATURE THEMED VESSELS
with Gill Travers
3 weeks, Mondays Apr 10 - 24, 6-9 PM
This is a great introductory class for surface decoration on simple forms. We will make our vessels using slab building & coils. Students will be shown how to use clay textures in relief work to make multiple textures that create an overall interesting and unique scene. We will experiment with colored slips, carving, and additive methods of sculpting.

PRESSED LEAF PLATES
with Gill Travers
Wednesdays, Apr 12 & 19, 6-9pm
Leaves and flowers can be used to create beautiful and detailed textures in clay. This class is designed for people who love leaves or flowers and want to press some of their favorites into clay. Students are encouraged to bring flat leaves and flowers (thick flowers like sunflowers won’t work) to press into clay in this class.

BY WHEEL AND BY HAND
with Brittany Dias
Sundays April 16- May 28,

Learn the basics of making pottery on the wheel as well as some hand-building skills during this informative, 6-week class. Brittany will take students through centering and forming functional pieces on the wheel but will also include some table time in embellishing and building on these basic forms using rolled slab, pinch formed and texture stamps designed and created by you.

HANDBUILT LARGE SERVING BOWLS
with Gill Travers
Wednesdays April 26 - May 17, 6-9 PM
This class is a great opportunity for students to make large usable bowls using handbuilding techniques. We will use molds, coils, and slabs to achieve the desired sizes. Week 2&3 we will refine and detail all our bowls with additional sculpting and textures, then glaze week 4.

FIGURE SCULPTING
with Ellen Blomgren
Saturdays, April 29-June 3, 1-4 PM
This 6-week class will go over proportions, scale, a few quick studies during the early weeks, then transitions to the last 2-3 weeks, which will focus on a more finished sculpture. Ellen’s process uses clay as armature and sculpture, ending with a fired piece ready to glaze. Students can glaze their pieces during open studio times once class has ended.

WHEEL THROWING FOR BEGINNERS

This class is perfect timing for those who have daytime availability. Students will learn the basics of making pottery on the wheel. From centering the clay, to pulling up forms and trimming. Students will make several pieces and glaze them on the last week of class.

SLUG MUGS
with Gill Travers
Mondays, May 8 - 22, 6-9 PM
Join us for a fun class where students can learn how to make handbuilt mugs in week 1 using slabs and coils. The instructor will show you their method of making adorable little snails, as well as other themed decorative techniques in week 2. The final week we will glaze all our mugs. Students can expect to make 2 mugs.

HANDBUILDING BASICS
with Gill Travers
Wednesdays May 24 - June 28, 6-9 PM
This class is a great fit for anyone who wants an introduction to using clay off the wheel. We will focus on projects that use pinching, slabs, molds, and coils to establish a foundation of useful clay skills. The goal of the class is to make students proficient and comfortable in using clay and glazing work made through hand forming methods.

INTERMEDIATES ON THE WHEEL
with Ian Buchbinder
Thursdays, May 25-June 29, 6-9 PM
This 6 week course in wheel throwing will expand your level of expertise. Students will work on making more consistent shapes, adding handles and possibly lids, perhaps some closed forms. Ian will gauge where the class wants to take it and work with students in creating more refined works. At least one prior class on the wheel is required.

GOBLETS, TUMBLERS, AND MUGS
with Brittany Dias
Sundays, June 4- July 9, 11 AM- 2 PM
Students will be introduced to wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques, creating different drinking vessels. Various techniques will be demonstrated and students will explore different surface decorative techniques such as slip trailing, additive/subtractive texture and sgraffitto.
