Brittany Keyes - (she/her) 

Brittany (she/her) began her relationship with clay in Brooklyn, New York during the COVID pandemic. She took countless classes and intensive workshops, and today enjoys making wheel-thrown pots and homewares behind her practice, Twigs and Terra Pottery. Brittany has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Humanities and English from Virginia Tech. In addition to crafting pottery from her home base of Rhode Island, she works as a studio technician at Mudstone Studios Pawtucket, writes eLearnings for nonprofit organizations, and chases her cats. Vivian Whitcomb- (she/her)

 Vivian Whitcomb (she/her) is a RISD graduate and has been creating ceramic tableware from Mudstone Studios for the past ten years. She got her start in ceramics at Mudstone, taking classes for several years from Rose Essen-Dawson. Working primarily on the wheel, Vivian's work includes hand-built ware with a focus on surface design, incorporating colored slips, underglaze transfers, silkscreen, and sgrafitto.

Ian Buchbinder- (he/him)

Ian Buchbinder (he/him) has had his hands in clay since early childhood.  After trying the potter’s wheel in High School he decided to study Ceramics, Illustration, and Education at RISD, graduating in 2011 with a BFA in ceramics and in 2012 with a Master of Arts in Teaching.

Ian further developed his craft during an apprenticeship at Three Wheel Studio in Providence, RI.  In 2017 Ian opened his own studio under the name Coywolf Studio and began selling his work at craft fairs and trade shows as well as to galleries across the country.  Alongside his studio work, Ian has been teaching wheel throwing since 2009.  He is fascinated by process and repetition and seeks to understand and communicate the mechanics of wheel throwing as well as the spirit and joy of forming pots from clay.

Ahron Kolatch - (he/him)

Aharon discovered his love for clay in middle school, captivated by the tactile and expressive possibilities of the medium. Though his formal education led him to earn a BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute, ceramics remained a constant thread in his creative journey.

Today, Aharon’s ceramic work explores the interplay of scale and form, drawing deep inspiration from the fashion world—particularly the concept of silhouette.

Tiffany Edouard (She/Her)

Tiffany is a creative soul who has been drawn to art from a young age.  
Originally from Brooklyn, NY she came to Rhode Island as a late teen to pursue a career in Culinary Arts.  After years as a Chef, she decided to make a change for a better quality of life, and attended URI to complete a Marketing Degree as she freelanced, producing graphic design & marketing solutions for local and national businesses.  
Three years ago, she began her ceramics journey here at Mudstone to explore new ways to express her creativity, reduce stress and engage in a more tactile craft than the digital graphics she was used to in her professional life.  
She found it to be incredibly therapeutic and has since then taken several classes and become active in her craft.  She works mostly as a hand-builder, making functional, elegantly sculpted works for the home and garden.  
Her work has begun to emerge in galleries. She also enjoys hosting Clay workshops in the community and on Saturdays here at Mudstone Studios.
