Upcoming Events:
Please join us for our 5th annual Ugly Sale at Mudstone Studios!

On October 13th from 12-4pm, our Pawtucket Mudstone Studios location will hold its first annual Ugly Sale at this location! This is an event we have done at our Warren location for 5 years now and we are so excited to be hosting a specific sale for each of our locations.
This year, our Warren sale coincides with the Warren Walkabout event on Sunday, October 20th from 12-4:00pm. 30 Cutler Street will be open as well as other art studios around town, giving visitors a peek into the working studios of Warren artists.

Our "Ugly Sale" will be featuring works of students, members and polished artists, selling at ridiculous pricing! This pre-holiday sale is our way of clearing out older inventory, lasts of batches, experiments, demonstrations, wrong color and abandoned works. Most of these pieces are perfectly beautiful, just super cheap!
ABOUT US
Mudstone Studios was established in September of 2007 as a communal workspace for artists and novices working in the ceramics medium. Founded by Ceramic sculptor Ellen Blomgren, Mudstone Studios' mission is to provide an affordable and nurturing environment for all levels. Every artist, whether potter, sculptor, tile artist or slip caster, learns and grows from the influences and inspiration of the membership. Each member brings as much to the table as they take away.
In March of 2022, Ellen Blomgren was ecstatic to bring Mudstone Studios to Pawtucket RI as a second location. You can also find our artists and classes in the Lorraine Mills at 560 Mineral Spring Ave.
In Summer of 2024, Mudstone Studios added a third location in Wareham, MA located at 3065 Cranberry Highway #B20, Wareham MA 02538.
OUR VISION
Mudstone Studios is a well respected and thriving ceramic artist community studio in Warren, RI. We’ve got a history of commitment toward our students and our artists. While we’re dedicated to producing our own art we’re also devoted to bringing the artist out in our students. Offering classes to adults and mature teens there’s something for anyone looking to foster their inner Picasso (who did do Ceramics)! We strive to instill creativity and teach form and function to all ceramic artists and novices that come to our studio seeking a fun, relaxing, and well rounded artistic experience.
OUR VALUES
Mudstone Studios was born out of a desire to support artists all over the South Coast area, and ever since then, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing. Our community has grown to include local artists and students from all walks of life. We help sculpt and mold them into the creative individuals that they are today. We’re so proud of the community we’ve created and love watching our artists grow.
