Beginner Wheel Throwing - Wareham
Available spots
Service Description
In this foundational course, students will explore the art of wheel-thrown pottery through guided instruction, hands-on practice, and creative experimentation. Over six weeks, participants will learn to center clay, open and pull forms, and create simple functional vessels such as cups, plates, and bowls. Students will also be introduced to a variety of surface design techniques to enhance their work. Demos may include stamping, slip decoration, underglaze use, and basic texturing methods—providing a well-rounded introduction to both form and finish. Adaptive tools are available to assist with centering and opening clay for those who may benefit from additional support. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to get your hands muddy and enjoy the process.
