Founded by ceramic sculptor, Ellen Blomgren, Mudstone Studios opens its doors to artists in need of workspace,
professional equipment and exhibition space. Mudstone offers
opportunities to teach and to attend professional workshops. Weekly classes as well as seasonal sessions
are available.
Ellen Blomgren
Mudstone’s education coordinator, Ellen Blomgren is a RISD-CE instructor, as well as an Artist Educator on the
Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and VSA Arts of Rhode Island Artist rosters. Her public installations are
located at Rhode Island Hospital, Woodlawn Community Center, Pawtucket and over a dozen schools throughout
Rhode Island. Recent exhibitions include Deblois Gallery in Newport and Imago Gallery in Warren. Examples of her
