Lidded Vessels with Rose Esson-Dawson
Learn several lid and flange techniques for jars, casseroles and containers. Students can expect to complete several lidded vessels in this 3-week class that meets twice a week. This class is not for beginners.

Learn to make beautiful and functioning spouts, handles and lids in this intensive, 6-week class. Students can expect to learn several different techniques in making the various parts of a teapot and will assemble a few different variations.

Intro to making pottery, with Ian Buchbinder
Mudstone is now offering a Monday class for beginners! RISD grad, Ian Buchbinder will guide students in learning to use the potter's wheel to create functional pieces of art. Learn the processes of making pottery, from centering, to forming shapes, to trimming and glazing. Students can expect to complete several pieces during this informative, 6-week session.

Andrew will demonstrate the many ways to photograph your work in order to promote it. Learn lighting, back-drops, still life and in context photo shooting as well as some simple editing and online promoting venues. Andrew will also talk about ways to brand yourself and get attention. Bring a piece to shoot, your laptop and a beverage for this fun, one night workshop with other artists.

This week-long summer workshop will take students ages 12-17 through the basics of wheel-throwing. Kids will learn to center, create simple pieces, trim them and a glaze date will be determined based on participant's schedule.
Monday-Friday, August 14-18, 12-3:pm $200 includes all materials, firings and a glaze date to be determined
