Intro to Making Pottery

Start from the beginning and learn to center, make basic forms, trim and glaze during this informative, 6 week session. Students can expect to make several finished pieces to take home. Space is limited so sign up early to save your space in class!

Pottery for Kids Ages 12-15 with Hannah Powers
Want your kids to get creative this summer? This 5 week course will teach your kids how to use the pottery wheel. Students can expect to create multiple pieces on the pottery wheel, trim, and glaze them. Space is limited so sign up early to save your space in class!

Making Paper from Pulp
with Wayne Fuerst
After a very informative presentation showing many different types of paper from all over the world, Wayne will do a hands on demonstration using traditional and non-traditional tools and fibers. Students can expect to make 8-12 pieces and will have the know-how to make more at home.

Wheel Throwing for Beginners and Intermediates with Rose Esson Dawson
Learn to make pottery using the potter's wheel during this 6-week class. Beginners are welcome, but Rose can give students with more experience some more advanced instruction as well. Each students can expect to create several pieces from clay to glaze at their own skill level.

Week-long Wildlife Workshop
with Ellen Blomgren
Working daily throughout the week, students will build wildlife sculptures. Participants will learn several forming, texturing and staining techniques. Each student can expect to create one maquette and one full sculpture. Sculptures can be picked up after firing.

This class is for those who have had a class or two in the past and want a refresher or want to step up to the next level. Students will talk about composition and form as well as learn some more advanced techniques and will be able to branch off in their own direction.
